More pictures from Grant's party

Grant and his 1st cake

Grant's Birthday party

For Grant's 1st birthday party we decided to go with a "Pirate" theme. It turned out better than expected and it was a blast to do. We held it at a place called the SRC, that stands for "Stress Relief Center" and it's a place the only Ontario Police officers and their families are privy too. For those who don't know my brother in law is a Corporal with the Ontario Police Department. We had a great turn out with family and friends. Alot of the friends that came were people that we haven't seen in many, many years and it was such a blessing to see them all again. Grant got alot of nice gifts and we are so touched by the love that was shown on this day. We are blessed to have such wonderful family and friends and we love you all.

Play time with Grant

My sweet Grant and Me

Daddy and Grant

Daddy and Grant

Guess who turned 1????

This last year has FLOWN by!!!! Everyone always told us that times flies so quickly and before we knew it Grant would be 1 year old. I for one didn't believe it and thought no way it would go by so fast, well I'll be the first to admit... I WAS WRONG!!! The week before his actually birthday was very hard for me. I would simply be putting his clothes away and realize that they were to small and start crying, I would look at pictures and see how much he had grown from when they were taken until now and start crying....in short I was a blubbering mess, Troy on the other hand was fine. He was happy that our sweet little boy was striving and growing and quickly becoming a toddler. It took some time but in the end I felt the same way, happy that Grant was a strong, healthy, and amazing baby.

For his birthday we took him to his favorite restaurant ..... Red Robin. He loves that place. My sister and my nieces and nephew joined us. It was a great night. After the waitress and other waiters sang "Happy Birthday" to him, he stared clapping. It was so cute.

Happy Birthday baby boy, Mommy and Daddy LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!!!

Grant's 1st Halloween

Troy and I decided to dress Grant as a Tiger his year. He looked so adorable as a little tiger. He didn't like the hat/ears to much and he kept taking them off. We took him over to my sister Kelly's house to go trick-or-treating with his cousins Aubree, Colton and Laney. My cousin Sandy came over with her family as well and she took her son Aiden trick-or-treating with us. We let Grant go to 6-7 houses just to have fun. He didn't get that much candy which is OK with us.  It was a GREAT night and I can't wait until next Halloween.

I went to Michael's to look for new glass vases/jars to use as decorations throughout the year for different occasions and to look for holiday decorations. I found these 3 clear glass vases and thought they'd be perfect to use. I also found misc. leaves, berries, pumpkins and gourds. I brought it home and filled the jars. I added a pumpkin Grant picked out from out trip to the pumpkin patch and some fall flowers I've had for a few years. I'm sure there are some things I could have done differently with the arrangement, but all in all, it's not bad for my first arrangement. Can't wait for Christmas, I'm already getting ideas of stuff to put in the vases. Hope everyone is having a good day.  (picture of arrangement is below this post)
